Anchor builds explained

The suggestion panel offers a flattest split and three anchor builds. Here is what each one is for and when the flat split is the wrong answer.

When the solver has a remaining total and a number of empty slots, there are a lot of ways to divide one by the other. It shows you four.

The flattest split spreads the remaining total evenly, giving every open slot the same OVR give or take a point. This is the right answer surprisingly often, because it keeps every card in the cheap part of the price curve.

The three anchor builds each pin one slot high and flatten everything else beneath it. These win when you already own a high card you were going to sacrifice anyway, or when a position requirement forces an expensive slot and you would rather claw the cost back elsewhere.

Neither shape knows what things cost. That is what the optimiser underneath is for: paste in the market prices you can actually see and it will pick one card per open slot for the lowest total spend that still clears the target.
