Career PTCs: every group from Newcomer to Mythic
The Career path sits under Foundation with the Tier groups and climbs from Newcomer to Mythic. Each group holds three one-time challenges and pays a reward on top: a pack for the first two, then a PTC card from 85 up to a 94 Pat Surtain II.
The Career path is eleven groups of permanent PTCs, from Newcomer to Mythic. It sits under Challenges > Foundation, in the same place as the Tier groups, and you work up it in order, starting at Newcomer. Each group holds three one-time challenges, and finishing all three pays a reward of its own on top of the pack each challenge pays.
What each group pays
Newcomer and Beginner pay a pack. Every group after that pays a PTC card, and from Advanced up each one rates a point higher than the last:
- Newcomer: 68+ Silver Pack
- Beginner: 83+ Gold Elite Pack
- Intermediate: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, linebacker, 85
- Advanced: Colston Loveland, tight end, 87
- Expert: Charles Omenihu, defensive end, 88
- Master: Breece Hall, running back, 89
- Elite: Kamren Kinchens, safety, 90
- Hero: Erik McCoy, center, 91
- Legend: Ka'imi Fairbairn, kicker, 92
- Platinum: Chris Lindstrom, guard, 93
- Mythic: Pat Surtain II, cornerback, 94
PTC cards cannot be traded, so finishing the group is the only way to own one. The PTC set page has every one of them with its stats.
How the challenges change as you climb
Beginner opens with five cards at a 70 average, one a kicker and one a punter. Beginner 3 is the first eleven-card challenge, and from Intermediate up every challenge is eleven cards, almost all of them a whole offense or a whole defense named position by position. Every slot is spoken for, so the only choice left is which card fills it.
The average climbs inside every group and up the path: 75 at Intermediate 1, 80 by Expert #3, 83 at Hero Career #3 and 87 at Mythic Career #3, the last challenge on it.
Two of the early ones weigh something a card does not show. Intermediate 1 wants an average weight of 300 and Advanced 1 an average age of 26, so check both in game before you trade.
Legend is the first group to ask for specialists. Legend Career #2 wants two kickers and Legend Career #3 two punters, and a named position cannot be filled by anything else however high it rates. Find those four first.
Spend the packs on the next group
Every challenge pays a pack of its own. Up to Hero most pay an 82+ Gold Premium Single Pack, and from Legend up every one pays a Gold Elite Single Pack, 84+ at first and 88+ by the end of Mythic.
Keep those packs for the climb. The averages rise slowly, so a card won early is often what a later challenge needs. And an average is a total to reach, not a rating every card needs, so one high card can carry several cheaper ones. The average rating trap, and how to beat it shows how.
Each group's page lists its three challenges and opens any of them in the PTC Solver, so you can plan a build with your own cards before you trade anything in. The PTC guide lists every group in the game and what it pays.
