Player of the Month Evolutions: David Bailey

Five challenges through September turn a 79 Bailey into an 88. Each one pays an unsellable special-rarity card, and that card is the entry fee for the next board — so you never hold two.

David Bailey, a linebacker for City That Never Sleeps, is September’s Player of the Month Evolutions PTC. The game’s own write-up sells him as a pass-rushing edge threat: length, get-off speed, and the kind of speed-to-power conversion usually reserved for lighter hybrid defenders.

An Evolutions PTC is a chain rather than a single board. There are five challenges. Clear the first and you are paid a special-rarity David Bailey at 80. Submit that card into the second challenge and it comes back as an 82. Then 84, then 86, and 88 at the end of the run.

That structure has a consequence worth being clear about. Each reward is the entry fee for the next board, and submitting a card destroys it, so you never hold two Baileys at once. The 80 you won in the first challenge is gone the moment the second one pays out the 82.

All five are unsellable, which means no rung of the ladder has a market value — the only thing you are playing for is the card at the top. Bailey’s base Gold is a 79 reading 80 SPD, 80 TAK and 79 AWR. The 88 at the end of the chain reads 89 SPD, 86 TAK and 91 AWR.

The window is September 1 to September 30. Five boards across a month is not a hard pace, but it is a chain rather than a set: miss a rung and everything above it closes with it.
