Seasoned Vets #1: Aaron Donald leads fourteen veterans
Fourteen veterans in fatigue green, averaging 88. Aaron Donald at 95 is the highest-rated defensive tackle in the game, Trent Williams at 94 shares the top tackle spot, and the set carries two linebackers and no punter.
Seasoned Vets #1 is in packs now: fourteen players at the back end of long careers, each on a card well above anything they have carried before. The set averages 88, and the top of it is as good as any position in the game gets.
Aaron Donald is the headline at 95, with 98 STR, 97 AWR and 92 TAK. No defensive tackle in the game is rated higher, and the next best, Cameron Heyward and Leonard Williams, sit two points behind at 93.
All fourteen
One card at every position except linebacker, which has two, and punter, which has none:
- Aaron Donald, DT, 95: 98 STR, 97 AWR, 92 TAK
- Trent Williams, OT, 94: 95 PBK, 96 RBK, 93 AGI
- Demario Davis, LB, 93: 90 SPD, 96 TAK, 95 AWR
- Travis Kelce, TE, 92: 90 BLK, 91 CTH, 97 ATH
- Nick Folk, K, 90: 90 KPW, 93 KAC, 89 FAK
- Ted Karras, C, 89: 92 PBK, 88 RBK, 89 AGI
- Aaron Rodgers, QB, 88: 85 ACC, 91 ATH, 90 INT
- Grady Jarrett, DE, 87: 84 STR, 88 AWR, 91 TAK
- Antonio Hamilton Sr., CB, 86: 87 SPD, 89 TAK, 84 AWR
- Greg Van Roten, OG, 85: 86 PBK, 83 RBK, 88 AGI
- Kyle Juszczyk, RB, 85: 86 SPD, 87 POW, 84 VIS
- Maurice Alexander, WR, 84: 85 SPD, 82 CTH, 87 AGI
- Nick Bellore, LB, 83: 86 SPD, 82 TAK, 83 AWR
- Miles Killebrew, S, 83: 84 SPD, 85 TAK, 82 AWR
Where the top of the set stands
Trent Williams at 94 ties Jordan Mailata for the best offensive tackle in the game. Demario Davis at 93 is level with Fred Warner, with only Lawrence Taylor and Zack Baun above them at linebacker. At kicker, Nick Folk trails only Ka'imi Fairbairn’s PTC reward and Brandon Aubrey’s Team of the Week card, both at 92.
Travis Kelce already has a 94 card, the PTC reward. If you hold that one, this 92 is a spare. If you do not, it is two points up on his 90 base card.
The depth names jump the furthest
The bottom of the set is where the boost is biggest. Miles Killebrew goes from a 56 base card to 83, Nick Bellore from 59 to 83, and Maurice Alexander from 65 to 84. Aaron Rodgers climbs nine, from 79 to 88. For a challenge that wants a high average across a lot of slots, an 83 safety or linebacker is a cheaper way to carry the number than a star at the same position.
What the cards sell for
Seasoned Vets cards can be bought and sold, and the spread between the top and the middle of the set is wide. On 9 October Trent Williams was listed at 12,999,999 and Travis Kelce at 1,199,999, more than ten times apart for two points of rating. Check the listing before you spend one to fill a slot.
All fourteen are in the Player Database under the Seasoned Vets #1 set, so you can drop one onto a challenge and see what it does to the average before you buy. A challenge that asks for the Seasoned Vets set can only be filled from these fourteen.
