Star Player PTC #2: ten 70s and one 87

Eleven offensive cards at a 72 average, with ten of them capped at 70, leave one way through: ten 70s and an 87. Every offensive position has an 87, and the challenge pays three 87+ players. It closes at 08:00 UTC on 16 October.

Star Player PTC #2 asks for eleven offensive cards at a 72 average, and caps ten of them at 70. That cap is the whole challenge. It pays a League Draft Pack of three 87+ players and closes at 08:00 UTC on 16 October.

What the star has to carry
What eleven cards at a 72 average need
787

The game rounds the average it shows, so 787 is enough where 11 times 72 would ask for 792.

What ten cards at 70 come to
700

The most the capped ten can carry.

What the eleventh has to be
87

Not a point less. That is the star.

From the challenge panel on 13 October.

Put every capped card at 70

Every point under 70 on the capped ten lands on the star. One 69 makes it an 88, and ten 68s would need a 107, which no card is. So the ten sit at exactly 70, and the Player Database has plenty of offensive cards rated exactly that.

It works the other way too. A star above 87 gives the ten some room: a 90 lets them average 69.7.

Any position can be the star

The challenge asks for offense and names no position, so the star is whichever offensive card you can spare at 87. Every offensive position has one:

One 87 in, three out

You spend one 87 and ten cards at 70, and the pack pays three players at 87 or better. The PTC Solver plans the cap the same way: ten slots at 70 or under, and the eleventh left open for the star.
