27.0.2: a maintenance build, not a drop
Version 27.0.2 landed: contrast and layout fixes, corrected mission tracking, captains in match prep, a redone Player Trade Challenge and Mission screen. No new cards — the two worth a look are the OVR graph on Roster stats and that refreshed screen.
Version 27.0.2 landed as a housekeeping build rather than a new set or event — no cards, no ratings, no reward to chase. Two of the fixes inside it touch the screens you use to build a Player Trade Challenge, though, which is worth knowing even on an update with no card behind it.
Here is the rest of it, in the game’s own words:
- More player cards fit in a row on screens like Training, alongside general contrast and background improvements.
- Friend invites are fixed.
- Mission tracking now follows the path you are actually on.
- Captains show up in match prep.
- The Player Trade Challenge and Mission screens got a UX pass.
- Name changes are fixed.
- The Scratch Calendar has its own button on your profile.
- A new OVR improvement graph on Roster stats.
The last two are worth two extra minutes each. The redone Player Trade Challenge screen is the one you build a lineup on, so open it once before your next challenge rather than partway through one. The OVR graph on Roster stats plots your overall over time instead of as a single number — a faster way to see whether your roster is actually climbing toward the average a challenge is asking for, without doing the maths by hand.
The notes end with a promise of events and content over the coming weeks, so read this one as the housekeeping ahead of a drop rather than the drop itself.
