How to claim New Season: A.J. Terrell Jr.

The card is not missing. It is behind the Scratch Calendar, which the latest build gave its own button on your profile — tap your name, top left. Any day you missed can still be bought for 20 gold, and the card lands once all 28 are claimed.

The New Season event has closed and people are reporting the reward as missing: no 85 corner, nothing in the Inbox, nothing in the Event Shop. It is not missing. It was never going to arrive in either of those places, because it is not a pack reward — it is the prize at the end of a 28-day scratch calendar, and you have to go and take it.

A.J. Terrell Jr. is an 85 CB: 82 SPD, 88 TAK, 87 AWR. The calendar holding him got its own button on the profile screen in the latest build, which is the part worth knowing, because a button that moved is a button nobody finds by accident.

Three taps

From the home screen:

Under the card is a bar reading how many of the 28 days you have claimed, and a button reading Claim at end of period. Fill all 28 and he is yours when the period closes.

A day you missed costs 20 gold

Every day you did not log in can still be completed. The tile shows a wrapped gift with 20 stamped on it, and that is the price: pay it and the gift opens into whatever that day was holding, and your total goes up by one. The reward is hidden until you pay, so you are buying the day rather than the prize.

Worked through on a calendar reading 20/28: Day 7 was a grey gift marked 20. Twenty gold opened it into three energy, and the bar moved to 21/28. Eight days short from there is 160 gold to finish.

Which makes the sum worth doing before you start. Twenty gold a day means the gap between your number and 28 is what the card costs you — four days short is 80, eight is 160, a missed fortnight is 280 — and the calendar tells you the number before you spend anything. Gold is the currency you cannot grind, so this is a real decision rather than a formality — but it is one you can price exactly before committing to it.

He is in the Player Database under the New Season set at 85, so you can drop him onto a challenge and see what he does to the average before deciding whether the gold is worth it.
