One Time #5: make the quarterback a Silver

Eleven cards at a 72 average: a quarterback, a center, five receivers, three Bronze and three Silver. Put the metal at 64 and 74 and the other five need 373, five 75s. No quarterback is a 75, so make him a Silver. It pays five 80+ players.

One Time #5 asks for eleven cards at a 72 average. Seven are named, a quarterback, a center and five wide receivers, and six carry a metal: three Bronze and three Silver. The other four can be anything. It pays a Gold Pack of five 80+ players and closes at 09:00 UTC on 26 October.

Put the metal at the top of its band

Eleven cards at a 72 average need 787. A Bronze stops at 64 and a Silver at 74, so the six metal cards carry at most 414 of it. That leaves 373 for the other five, 74.6 each, and five 75s clear it by two.

A metal card can fill a named slot too, so the six can all come from the quarterback, the center and the receivers. Each of those positions has cards right at the top of both bands:

Why the quarterback should be a Silver

No quarterback is rated 75. The cheapest Gold ones are Cam Ward, Jaxson Dart and Michael Penix Jr. at 76, so a Gold quarterback means a 76 where a 75 would have done. A 74 Silver quarterback costs nothing extra: he is one of the three Silvers the challenge asks for anyway.

Five 75s to finish

With the quarterback, the center and one receiver as the Silvers and three receivers as the Bronzes, the last receiver and the four free slots need 373 between them. Allen Lazard, Isaac TeSlaa, Jordyn Tyson, Odell Beckham Jr., Rashod Bateman and Xavier Worthy are all 75s at receiver, and the four free slots can be 75s at any position.

Place the six metal cards first in the PTC Solver, then read Avg needed from here: that is what the last five have to average.
