Prospects: a card that can improve on its own
A new rarity ties straight to the real Playoffs — if the player it depicts gets there, the card takes a one-time +5 to every main and sub rating, for good. Sixteen launched, all of them already in the Player Database.
Prospects is a new rarity built on a bet about the real season rather than anything you do in game. Every card in it carries the same open question: does the real player it depicts make the Playoffs? If they do, the card takes a one-time +5 boost to every main and sub rating, permanently. If they do not, the card stays exactly as pulled.
That is a different shape to Future Stars, which updates on a monthly schedule right through the season. A Prospect gets one shot at its boost, decided in one moment rather than earned gradually — there is no partial credit for a good season that falls just short, and no second update once the Playoffs are decided.
The Prospects Pack launched with sixteen first-year players across every position:

All sixteen are already in the Player Database, filed under the Prospect special set at the OVR they launched with. A boosted card is a different card in every sense that matters to a board — five points higher on the average and on every stat it carries — so if the real Playoffs move one of these, the row here needs updating by hand; the solver has no way to know which Prospects made the leap and which did not.
Prospect Missions run alongside the pack from 12 to 19 September. Clear them inside that window and the reward is a five-player Prospects Mission Pack — miss the deadline and it is gone, the same as any other limited-time PTC.
